In my experience, most leadership coaches fit into one of two categories...

They either have a purely academic background and focus on behavioral change alone–the corporate therapy model, or they have retired after a lengthy corporate career and assume their solutions from the past will work for you today–the corporate guru model. 

In other words, some coaches don’t offer any business expertise and others just tell you what to do.

Modern Leadership Coaching is different. It blends active inquiry, organizational expertise, and emotional intelligence training.
